About Me:

I am a certified Associate Professional Soil Scientist (Soil Science Society of America). My master's research involved studying the effects of prescribed winter burning in the sustainable conservation and restoration of tidal marshes in the Chesapeake Bay region. Specifically, I am interested in the elucidating the interactions between nutrient mobilization, plant nutrient availability, and organic matter dynamics following burning as a management practice, and the implications these results may have to marsh conservation in the face of sea-level rise.
