About Me:
My main work is doing botanical surveys for the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and reporting threatened and endangered (T&E) species and high-quality natural communities for IDOT sites. I also maintain the "List of Organisms of Illinois" database as well as do reasearch on the sytstematics of plants in the cotton family (Malvaceae), on neotropical floristics and on T&E species. My background is in traditional plant taxonomy and field botany, and I am a member of several plant-orientated societies and clubs..
