About Me:

I am a senior researcher for the Biological Surveys and Assessment Program as well as the Curator of Mollusks for the INHS Collections. My research interests are in the areas of conservation, systematics and ecology of freshwater mollusks and fishes and the protection of thier freshwater habitats; primarily streams. I have traveled the world cataloging and studying freshwater mussel populations. I have served on the Illinois Endangered Species Technical Advisory Committee on Invertebrates and on the Illinois Wildlife Preservation Fund Advisory Committee. I am an active member of the American Fisheries Society, the American Malacological Society, and the Freshwater Mollusk Conservation Society.
