About Me:

I conduct field surveys for freshwater mollusks, fishes, crayfishes, amphibians and reptiles, and assist with collections management of fishes and mollusks. My research interestes primarily lie with the freshwater fishes and mollusks and with the preservation of their habitats. Current research projects include the reintroduction of two federally-endangered mussels into Illinois, the reintroduction of the state-endangered Redspotted Sunfish into historical areas in Illinois, and distribution and status of select fishes and aquatic mollusks in Illinois. I am active in several professional associations, and I participate in outreach activities that promote the awareness of and help educate others on the biology, ecology and life history of freshwater ecosystems.
