My PhD work focuses on creating and refining out abilities to decipher diets of wild fishes through indirect methods.  I have been working on using fatty acids and stable isotopes to generate quantitative estimates of lake trout and yellow perch diets from the Great Lakes.  Specifically I am interested in employing these methods to investigate how maternal and paternal diets affect progeny foraging success and survival.
