Activities: I am a waterfowl ecologist for the IL Natural History Survey. I coordinate, conduct, and assist in waterfowl, wetland, and waterbird related research in the IL and Upper MS River Valleys. Recently, we have examined wetland quality in relation to blood metabolites, diets, body condition, and other metrics in spring migrating lesser scaup and canvasbacks. Our most current work is determining stopover duration of gadwall (GADW) and American green-winged teal (AGWT) in the Illinois River Valley, while examining food habits and spring body condition of said AGWT. | ||||
