Taxonomy, systematics, and ecology of North American freshwater Annelida / presentation of taxonomic workshops focusing on these groups; biodiversity, hydrogeology, and water quality of Holarctic springs and caves; preservation of habitat utilized by federal- and state-listed endangered, threatened, and/or rare species of aquatic organisms; distribution, ecology, and taxonomy of aquatic macroinvertebrates, particularly the non-insectan groups.
