Activities Soil/wetland scientist with the wetlands group. I work in a team delineating wetlands and hydric soil units throughout the state, conduct mitigation site assessments, and assist with mitigation site monitoring.
I also participate in outreach with different organization around the state speaking to school childern about wetlands and soils.
I have also been involoved with the planning and construction of raingardens in the Champaign-Urbana area.


Research
I am looking into the proliferation of Rhamnus cathartica (common buckthorn) in Midwestern wetlands.

I was very active in SWS NCC. I created the original chapter brouchure and lead the group that created their traveling tabletop display board for use in regional meetings.
I am on the ethics and outreach committee for ISCA.
